NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams spent the past two weeks in Vancouver. He posted a great thank you note on his blog as his time in the Olympic city wrapped up. He wrote: “Before we leave this thoroughly polite country, the polite thing to do is leave behind a thank-you note.”

All week on NY1, we’ve been showing countries on our “Medal Count” graphic in the order of the total number of medals, regardless of color. After realizing that Canada finished the day tied for the most golds, I suggested a change this morning.
