I did an interview with Bryce Gruber from The Luxury Spot a few days ago. We talked about a lot of things, from where I like to eat in the city to how I like to sign autographs. But I’m quite positive it is my final quote that will be best remembered.
I was at a Canadian Consulate event in New York this week to mark the 30th anniversary of the “Canadian Caper.” The guest of honour was Ken Taylor, the former Canadian ambassador to Iran who got six American diplomats to safety in the midst of the US embassy hostage situation. The conversation turned to his work as a spy and the story’s “Hollywood” ending.

I’ve been reading stories this morning about a possible expansion of a safety system Toyota is proposing for its cars. But Toyota and the wire copy keep calling it a “brake override” system. That’s a ridiculous name.
