Moses may have actually parted the Red Sea. Using a computer program, scientists in Colorado were able to recreate the Exodus story. But instead of just using his hands, he would’ve had to have some serious help from the wind.

Photoshop, it seems, is not just for image-obsessed Hollywood starlets and sketchy tabloid editors. It’s also for self-conscious heads of state and sketchy state-run newspaper editors. A reader tipped me off the a controversy that’s percolating in Egypt after the country’s largest newspaper ran a doctored photo showing President Hosni Mubarak leading a group of world leaders at this week’s White House peace summit.

Let’s just say we won’t be playing the unedited soundtrack of this video on NY1. But the video is fantastic and the commentary is, well ... entertaining.

Mediaite’s Steve Krakauer is launching a new video feature called the “Mediaite Supper Club.” He asked me and Geraldo Rivera to join him for dinner at Doma on Perry Street in New York.

For two weeks, the narrative on CBS, ESPN2 and Tennis Channel has been about Rafael Nadal in pursuit of the only major tennis title he hasn’t won. It’s stunning that they didn’t see fit to let the winning moment play to its conclusion. Instead ESPN rudely cut away to the opening seconds of a barely-significant NFL game.

For decades, the frightening durability of the iconic snack cake has been fodder for wonder and ridicule.  But what exactly makes a Twinkie, a Twinkie? Curious, photographer Dwight Eschliman set out to document the 37 ingredients listed on the Twinkie’s package. Along the way he discovered that many of its elements could only be found in a chemical supply store.
