Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Doug Elfman noticed something odd while standing on the sidelines at last weekend’s Adult Film Awards red carpet: female porn stars love to “get their nerd on.” Several of his interviewees told Elfman they’ve become computer obsessed as the porn business moves online. And with the switch they’ve become enamored with everything from “World of Warcraft” to “Battlestar Galactica.” Skeptical, Elfman asked one actress if showing off her geeky side was just a way to relate to a young and male audience. But he says he was suitably impressed that the answer he received was the “true lament of a real player.”
