There’s a perfect storm brewing for hotel owners on the Las Vegas Strip, and they’re taking advantage of it by jacking up hotel prices past what most charged for a room on New Years Eve.  The Consumer Electronic Show opens on Thursday. So does the Adult Entertainment Expo. And that means a hotel stay in Sin City will cost you ten times more than normal says the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

I have a pretty good guess who the target demographic of the Adult Entertainment Expo is. But according to the New York Times, it’s not just tech geeks who are getting amped up for this year’s Consumer Electronic Show. The paper says the convention has become a go-to event for major media outlets.
