Using discarded newspapers to make disposable bike helmets for bike-sharing programs. One of the main criticisms of the bike-sharing programs cropping up in major cities is the lack of helmets—either you have to lug around your own or rent one. But if their idea takes off now you could pick up a recycled helmet—including a strap also made from paper pulp—the next time you go out for an impromptu ride. VIDEO
