Monaco Readies for Royal Wedding No. 2

You have until July 1st to recover from royal wedding fatigue. That’s when Prince Albert II of Monaco will marry his fiance Charlene Wittstock, a former Olympic swimmer. The Washington Post says not only does the couple have to contend with the recent nuptials of Will and Kate, it must compete with the “gold standard of royal nuptials,” the 1956 wedding of Grace Kelly to Monaco’s Prince Rainier III. Undeterred, the tiny country is preparing for a two-day blowout with a “guest list [that] reads like a who’s who of Europe’s rich and powerful.” Chef Alain Ducasse, who holds 19 Michelin stars, will cook for the 500 guests and says everything on the menu will be sourced from within a six-mile radius.
