The upcoming nuptials of Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston may be getting more attention, but the New York Post decides to take a look at another political kid’s wedding plans. The paper says Chelsea Clinton and her fianc? Marc Mezvinsky both experienced a father falling from grace. Mezvinsky’s dad, a former congressman from Iowa, was embroiled in an investment scheme in 2000. But growing up with a “dark cloud” of media attention has brought the couple closer. Political insiders say the July 31 ceremony is the closest America will get to a royal wedding.
