Miami Police Ban Tattoos, Grills

Police in Miami are upset about a new rule banning visible tattoos and “non-traditional jewelry.” That last part refers specifically to “ornamental dental work,” or in layman’s terms, a grill. Officers will have to remove any platinum, gold or diamond-encrusted dental work that is not medically necessary when the rule goes into effect says the Miami Herald. Tattoos will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Officials say they worry grills “present a liability for the individual wearing them during a physical confrontation.”
