Fred Stobaugh decided to write some lyrics about his deceased wife and send them in to an amateur music contest. They turned out to be so moving that the 96-year-old Illinois native is now the oldest person to ever land a single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart says the New York Post. The touching song, “Sweet Lorraine,” is about his wife of 72 years, who died in April.
