How many megapixels does your camera have? Electro-L, a Russian weather satellite, was able to snap a very impressive photo of the Earth in one single shot. Reading about celebrated children’s author Maurice Sendak in virtually every paper this morning reminded me of this interview he did with Stephen Colbert back in January. Colbert starts out by saying “Anyone who knows me know that I don’t like children, or books, or children’s books…” Then Sendak comes on…and basically agrees. WATCH THE VIDEO

Tom Brokaw is not a fan of the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. He went on a mini-tirade yesterday on “Meet the Press” lambasting the annual event as evidence that the media has given up on serious political coverage and lost touch with the American public. Brokaw does ‘fess up to being a charter member of the White House Correspondents Association, but says even though he’d “like to meet Charlize Theron,” things have gotten a little out of hand. VIDEO
