World’s Longest Comedy Set

I’ve seen five-minute comedy sets that aren’t funny so I hope, for the audience’s sake, Bob Marley brought his A-game. According to thePortland Press-Herald, Maine’s favorite comedian broke the world record for longest comedy routine last night after telling 40 hours worth of jokes. Guinness, which was monitoring the attempt, stipulated that ten people had to be in the audience at all times—and that they had to be awake.
Marley secured his place in the Guinness Book of World Records after 38 hours and six minutes, but he wasn’t about to stop there. After hitting the 40-hour mark, Marley glibly told the audience felt like Forrest Gump: “I think I’m going to go home.” Guinness stipulated that ten people had to be in the audience at all times—and that they had to be awake. Onlooks say Marley managed to go 17 hours without repeating a joke.
