VW Bets Men Like Fewer Curves

Men are notorious admirers of curves. But Volkswagen decided its iconic Beetle needed to lose some of its round edges in order to appeal to more men says the Detroit Free-Press. It’s the first time the model has been redesigned since 1998 when the New Beetle was unveiled. Described as wider, with a “lower profile” and a longer front hood, the new new Beetle is trying to compete in a market now saturated with small, quirky cars like the Fiat 500 and BMW Mini.
