“Video Kills the Radio Czar”

The news that NPR’s CEO resigned after footage filmed by a conservative activist was made public plays out big in virtually every paper this morning. But the Wall Street Journal wins, hands down, for best headline: “Video Kills the Radio Czar.”

Vivian Schiller is the second NPR executive to step down this week after the public radio station’s fund-raising chief was caught on tape badmouthing Republicans and Tea Party supporters. He also suggested NPR didn’t need federal funding, an issue that is currently being debated in Congress. Republicans want to cut funding for public radio because they argue it’s popular and can support itself.
