Passengers on a Delta flight to LA yesterday were only in the air for a few minutes when the plane made an emergency landing after several birds were sucked into the engine. My good buddy and CNN anchor Ali Velshi was on board. He told the New York Daily News “I heard a real grinding and I thought ‘Whatever it is, it couldn’t be serious,’ then the cabin started filling with smoke.”
