Brian Bannister might not be the youngest or the strongest pitcher in the MLB but he’s definitely got the best handle on physics. USA Today has a really interesting profile of the Kansas City Royal, who uses cutting edge technology to figure out what’s going on in, and how to improve, his game. Bannister, who’s the son of former MLB pitcher Floyd Bannister says he’s interesting in the statistical side of his performance because he doesn’t have the raw talent some players do: “I watched my dad and saw what it’s like to have average stuff and get the most out of it.”
