Getting lost on a mountaintop is an emergency. But is finding salty water in a mountaintop spring grounds for a call to 911? The Anchorage Daily News says as technology improves, hikers can call for help in situations that would normally not be considered life threatening, a phenomenon rescue workers refer to as Yuppie 911.
