(Still) Big in Japan: The Fax Machine

The rest of the world has moved on, but not Japan. The country, known for its tech-savvy is apparently still in love with the fax machine. Its common to send a party invite or a shopping order via fax. And the Washington Post says during the nuclear crisis last year, Fukushima workers got the news to government officials in Tokyo…via fax. Part of their enduring presence has to do with the Japanese reverence of handwriting.
