Steak sauce—is it a compliment or an insult? That’s the question in the Washington Post this morning. Whatever the answer it has progressed beyond “horseradish cream and bearnaise.” Some food lovers see the rise in sauces offered by steakhouses as a passing fad but some purists worry that it degrades the experience of appreciating a nice cut of meat.
