Spring Fashion Sneak Peek

Bright colors. Conservative styles. That’s what you can expect to see on the runways at Fashion Week says the Wall Street Journal. Columnist Christina Binkley got her hands on a dozen drawings from the sketchpads of everyone from Diane von Furstenberg to Nanette Lepore, and gives a great sneak peak of what’s in store for the Spring 2012 season. Binkley says many designers are harnessing new dyeing technology that allows them to produce more “vibrant and saturated” colors. In terms of cut, expect to see higher necklines, below-the-knee skirts and in general, a more covered-up look.
