Listening to sports on the radio has been added to the list of activities that it’s dangerous to undertake while driving says the Kansas City Star. Researchers found that reaction times were 20 percent slower when a driver is “emotionally invested” in games on the radio. That’s about 10 percent worse than the reaction time of a drunk driver. The study concedes that the results may only be applicable to die-hard fans but say there’s a good lesson for everyone: ?There?s no such thing as multitasking.?
