Sorkin Angry at Palin for Killing Reindeer

There’s nothing like killing a reindeer in the weeks leading up to Christmas to curry the public’s favor. Washington Post TV columnist Lisa de Moraes dives into the fight brewing between Aaron Sorkin and Sarah Palin in today’s paper. After watching Palin’s latest “animal-extermination epic” on TLC, Sorkin penned a blog post entitled, “I’m Sure the Moose Had it Coming.”
Referring to the latest episode of Palin’s TLC show about Alaska in which she kills a caribou, Sorkin wrote: “You weren’t killing that animal for food or shelter or even fashion, you were killing it for fun. You enjoy killing animals. I can make the distinction between the two of us but I’ve tried and tried and for the life of me, I can’t make a distinction between what you get paid to do and what Michael Vick went to prison for doing.”
Palin’s response? “So a left-wing Hollywood producer thinks there is no ‘distinction’ between harvesting healthy, wild organic protein to feed my family and engaging in dog fighting? I didn’t know anyone ate dogs, tanned the hides, and made boots out of them.”
Here’s the clip of Palin taking out a caribou, also known as a reindeer, on the latest episode of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska”:
