If you’ve been unlucky in love recently, you might as well go shopping. The New York Post says spending money can produce the same rush of endorphins that a romp in the hay does. Researchers found that showing people pornographic images and advertisements of sales produced the same effect on the brain. The Post neglects to mention whether women and men had the same reaction when confronted with scintillating circulars but if I had to make a guess, I’d say that’s unlikely.
