Ryan Seacrest is Building an Empire

I confess to some jealousy when I read the two-page Ryan Seacrest story in the Wall Street Journal this morning. Somehow, the guy has managed to grab about five of the top jobs in television. Harvey Weinstein says the 37-year-old Seacrest has great business acumen—which should be obvious because he’s turned his “American Idol” gig into a TV production empire that has $300 million in venture capital money to spend.
