Gas, shmas—people were lining up for Twinkies this weekend, says the Wall Street Journal. Hostess goes in front of a federal bankruptcy judge today to present a plan that gives up on trying to reach a deal with workers. Instead, the plan promotes the orderly shutdown of Hostess’s business—including its iconic brands. The Journal says the “union that brought the 85-year-old baker of Twinkies and Wonder Bread to its knees” is still hoping that a deal will be struck that sends its people back to work.
