President Obama has found a new friend amidst the destruction of Hurricane Sandy, reports the Washington Post this morning. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, very recently a loud critic of the president, has had an about-face after the Obama administration’s prompt response to the devastation. Christie, who the Post describes as “the closest thing government has to a street brawler,” has said the shift in his feelings has nothing to do with politics, but some wonder whether he could be setting himself up for a White House run in 2016.
