Papers in Washington and Colorado react to the brand-new legislation to legalize marijuana this morning. The Spokane Spokesman-Review says it’s unclear exactly how to proceed, given that pot is still illegal under federal law. Though the financial potential of legalized marijuana sales has some cautiously excited, the legislation has created a quandary for law enforcement and for human resource departments at companies that require a drug test—it is, after all, their “first dance with Mary Jane.”
