The legalized pot business is, in a word, smoking—which is why investors like Seattle private-equity fund Privateer Holdings are racing to get involved, says USA Today.  Privateer is buying a slew of smaller pot businesses to create “one bigfat one,” betting on the fact that the legalization trend will spread across the country. What’s striking, says the paper, is how traditional the background of many of the new “drug barons” is—they are bankers and Yale MBAs and “wearers of ties.”
