David Carr has a question for Yahoo’s new CEO Marissa Mayer in this morning’s New York Times. He wants to know, what is Yahoo? You may think of it as a search engine. But Carr says Yahoo accidentally became a media company, noting that huge numbers of Americans turn to the site for a combination of newswire stories and original content.
