It’s been a tough week for New York bagels. Yesterday, we told you that Consumer Reports maligned the New York bagel by claiming its frozen cousins taste just as good. Today, the Sun Sentinel is reporting that the Barclays Center, the Nets new home being built in downtown Brooklyn, will sell, gasp, “Brooklyn bagels from Boca.” Yes, a Florida company has won exclusive bagel-hawking rights.
