NASA officials revealed their plan to make “the most powerful rocket ever built” at a press conference yesterday. Huntsville, Alabama is home to the Marshall Space Flight Center, where the rocket will be built. They have not announced how they plan to pay for it.
Last week a document was leaked, giving possible budget scenarios for the project, one of which was so high it gave the White House “sticker shock.” But supporters of the plan say the document contained unrealistic scenarios designed to scare lawmakers away with its price tag.
