Amanda Clayton won $1 million lottery back in September. But that wasn’t her only source of income. A tip to a Michigan radio station revealed that Clayton was still receiving food stamps well after receiving the state-alloted prize. The Detroit News says Clayton bought a second home after her windfall—she told reporters she thought it was okay to continue accepting welfare from the state because she had to pay for two houses now.
