Male Birth Control Pill in Pipeline

Researchers are getting very close to creating a male version of “The Pill.” The contraceptive targets sperm, altering a chemical compound (gamendazole) to prevent sperm from forming in the testes. As the St. Paul Pioneer Press puts it, “men taking a gamendazole ‘pill’ essentially would be shooting blanks.” Just like for women, full fertility would return within weeks of getting off the pill.
