Lytro Review: Amazing Technology, Product Needs Improvement

It’s the camera that’s taking the photo world—and the world of technology reviewers—by storm. The Lytro camera senses the direction of light as it arrives at the lens, which allows photographers to retroactively focus their images. The New York Times calls it “astonishing technology” but says the product isn’t quite there yet. Basically it’s too expensive (8GB for $399 or 16GB for $499) and doesn’t have enough features.
