Billionaire Elon Musk unveiled his plan to fix California’s mass transit system yesterday says the San Jose Mercury News. Dubbed the Hyperloop, the solar-powered capsule would propel people from Los Angeles to San Francisco in just 30 minutes. Musk’s plan, which calls for a high-speed transit system that operates between 580 and 760 miles per hour, only exists on paper thus far. But he says it’s much cheaper than the bullet train California is now over-budget trying to to develop.
