Guantanamo’s days are numbered. But closing the detention center isn’t as easy as shuttering the gates. The Miami Herald says Guantanamo probably won’t be closed by President Obama’s January deadline but officials are already trying to determine how much of the controversial prison should be preserved as it enters its final days.
