Google Maps Goes Global

It’s not likely to catch anyone picking their nose at a bus stop but I’m sure it’s still fun to mess around with. According to USA Today, Google Street View has gone global. Yesterday the site started streaming panoramic views of Antarctica’s Shetland Islands, meaning that it’s now possible to take a virtual walk, or even vacation, all each of the seven continents.
Apparently, the addition was inspired by a trip the guy in charge of Google Earth and Maps recently took to Antarctica on a cruise.
