Golden Age of Kids Music

According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, we are living in the golden age of children’s music. Not only have musicians like Dan Zanes and They Might Be Giants shifted their focus to kids, they’ve enlisted stars like Lou Reed to introduce a younger set to a diverse range of styles. Childrens music radio stations are popping up and there’s even a new word to describe the genre—kindie music, or kid-friendly tunes with an indie bend. Some parents admit they’re such big fans they find themselves singing along even when they’re alone.
