‘Girls’ Cast Talks Clothes

HBO’s hit “Girls” is due to return next Sunday for its Season 2 debut. In today’s New York Times the show’s costume designer admits that sometimes they tailor Lena Dunham’s clothes to look worse. Writer Karen Schwartz, remembering her own post-college fashion faux pas, says “such is the difference between ‘Girls’ and its most obvious predecessor, ‘Sex and the City.’ You watched Sarah Jessica Parker et al and thought, I wish I had those shoes. You watch Lena Dunham and crew and think, There, with the grace of God, I wenteth.”
