It’s Not a Bird or a Plane, It’s a Flying Car

I swear, every day we become more and more like the Jetsons. USA Today says the world’s first flying car just got a pass from the FAA to be classified as a “light sport aircraft.” Makers of the Terrafugia Transition say that means the car-plane hybrid could hit the road, and sky, as early as next year. The “roadable plane” gets about 35 miles to the gallon and can do 115 mph in the air. Company officials say it’s actually safer than a tradition aircraft because it gives pilots the option of driving to their destination in bad weather.
