Feds Say Felony, Sculptor Says Art

Is it art? Or is it a felony? A Florida artist is under investigation for his series of animal sculptures, which feature various animal parts stuck together to form mystical looking creatures. The federal government is charging him with wildlife smuggling for importing, among other things, “an orangutan skull, a king cobra, a slow loris, a woolly stork, and the skulls of heavy-beaked birds called hornbills.”
