Expect Whimsy at London Games

Expect some whimsy at the London opening ceremonies, says the Washington Post’s Anthony Faiola—think “James Bond in a helicopter” and “a Voldemort-vs.-Mary Poppins smackdown at Olympic Park.” The opening ceremonies will also be held in a stadium that is much humbler than what we saw in Beijing. Explains a British official: “I think there is a bit of a responsibility on us to bring these Games down to size and return them to a game for athletes.”
