“Easter Egg Hunt on Steroids”

Billed as an “Easter egg hunt on steroids,” a Jacksonville church decided to drop 20,000 plastic eggs on a crowd of anxious children yesterday. The Florida Times-Union says “pandemonium” is the only way to describe what ensued: “20,000 plastic eggs falling from a helicopter is a bit like one M&M being tossed to a starving man. It’s just not enough.” The event’s organizers rushed to keep things in order as a huge crowd of kids chanted, “we want eggs.” When asked if he planned on resurrecting the event next year, the church’s main organizer said he wasn’t sure: “Ask me in two weeks.”
