Dancing with a Sailor

It’s not a star she wanted to dance with says the Oregonian. The wish of an 87-year-old woman came true yesterday when she got to cut a rug with a young sailor. The woman, whose late husband was in the Navy, says she wanted one more chance to experience her two favorite things - a man in uniform and dancing. Employees at the woman’s nursing facility set up the date and it was 29-year-old Petty Officer 1st Class Jack Geiger who got to twirl the great-grandmother of five around the dance floor.

This story is a perfect example of one that plays better in print. The video is a little hard to watch, basically this nice sailor spends three minutes holding up 87-year-old partner. At one point you can hear her ask, “is it over yet?”
