Shoppers at a Long Island Costco were pressed to find help in the aisles after 20 employees hit the jackpot, splitting the windfall from a $200 million Powerball ticket. After taxes, that’s about $3.5 million each. The New York Post says most of the store’s employees took the day off. But a handful of the winners decided they’d had enough and quit after learning the good news. The Post says many of the lottery winners were elderly employees, who’ve “had to keep toiling to make ends meet.”
