College Football Players Embrace “Beefcake Photos”

It’s not enough to just play a sport, you also have to play the game. The Wall Street Journal says more and more college football teams are taking off their shirts for steamy “beefcake photos” as a way to keep their female fans interested. Tennessee was apparently one of the first teams to embrace the racy team photo. Peyton Manning, a Tennessee alum, remembers that a lot of “baby oil was involved” when he unbuttoned back in the 1900s. This season, the team is worried about how they’ll top last year’s, which, the Journal describes as “then-senior Eric Berry, now a safety for the Kansas City Chiefs, pos[ing] shirtless with his pants unbuckled and a heavy chain around his neck as he leaned against the side of a Lamborghini borrowed from a local car dealership.”
