Chestnuts Roasting, a Ghost of Christmases Past

Somehow hot dogs soaking in metal container doesn’t sound nearly as romantic. But it may have to do because the New York Daily News says it’s next to impossible to find chestnuts roasting on an open fire these days. Vendors say it’s because they just don’t sell. The Daily News says you used to be able to find the snack all over the city but to satisfy a craving these days you’ll have to head to “tourist-heavy corners of Manhattan.”
