The Wall Street Journal says cellphones are eating up the family budget. Since the iPhone debuted in 2007, people have spent consistently more on their cellphone plans, while dialing back spending on other luxuries like dining out or catching a movie. According to just-released government data, the amount people spend on their phone plans rose from $1,110 in 2007 to $1,226 in 2011.
