Brooklyn Nets Debut Logo: Same Same But a Little Different

The Brooklyn Nets officially unveiled their new logo at a press conference yesterday. The black-and-white logo wasn’t totally a surprise—Deadspin got ahold of the Jay-Z-designed insignia last week. Here’s what else isn’t a surprise says the Wall Street Journal: the logo features a basketball. Sixty-seven percent of NBA teams use a basketball in their logo. Compare that with 15 percent of NFL teams that use a football in their logo.
