Bones Are Either Amelia Earhart or a Turtle

Scientists in Oklahoma are trying to extract DNA from bones found on a deserted island in the South Pacific. The Norman Transcript talked to the scientists at the DNA lab which will try to determine if the bones belong to Amelia Earhart. Actually—that’s only one of two possibilities.  They think it’s either Earhart or a turtle. I’m not making that up.

If it is the pilot, the guess is that Earhart managed to land her plane on or near the island, and then died there as a castaway.
